I’m finding myself reaching for comfort - in spa routines that manifests as smaller and cozier bathing establishments. This could be a natural result from the last weeks of winter and coming off of the NYC sauna palooza trip (yes I’m still writing them up I have tons of follow up questions) Last Sunday, I hung out at Daengki Women’s Spa. I haven’t been for a long time, but it was an excellent choice to feel cozy for an end of weekend spa adventure. LA Spas generally close a bit earlier on Sunday than any other day of the week (outside of the 24hr establishments at least) and sometimes you want to feel at home, not at home.

I skipped on dinner and hustled down because it was a last minute whim decision and I thought my friend Annie might beat the clock with putting her kids to sleep. Unfortunately for her, the kids had other plans. Fortunately for us, they had double booked the last guests of the day so we wouldn’t have been able to get the massages we were drooling after.
