Why S.P.A.?

S.P.A. is my Roman Empire. The age-old debate: why did the ancient Romans mark SPV on all their territories? Did it come from the Latin sanus or salus —sanity or health—per aquam? I’m here to ask: why not both? I believe water is the cornerstone of both healing and sanity. If my obsession with water is a sickness, then I don’t want wellness.

Bathing is a universal experience shared by all human beings. Not much has changed since humans first used hot springs, streams, oceans, and lakes to quench their thirst, hunt for sustenance, clean themselves off, and find moments of bliss. The human condition in every society wrestles with how we make meaning out of nothingness; this page how we try to cleanse ourselves emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically with water, heat, cold, and pressure.

Welcome to the first digital watering hole dedicated to water-based pleasures! S.P.A will make your wildest wet dreams come true ࿐ ࿔*:⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅
